Newborn Gut Bacteria Differs If Infants Breastfed Or Formula-Fed, Vaginal Or Cesarean Birthed
Newborn Gut Bacteria Differs If Infants Breastfed Or Formula-Fed, Vaginal Or Cesarean Birthed The way a newborn enters the world and what they eat in the next six weeks afterward appear to play some role in what critters take up residence in their gut, found a new study. As previous studies have suggested to a varying degree, the gut bacterial composition in infants born vaginally differ from that of infants arriving through cesarean deliveries, and a similar degree of difference shows up between the guts of exclusively breastfed infants and infants who exclusively eat formula or eat a combination of formula and breastmilk.
