Movies About Real-Life Female Business Owners I was pretty annoyed when I started researching films about real-life female entrepreneurs. Apparently the concept that a feature film would be made about a female entrepreneur is so foreign that when I asked IRL and Facebook friends for suggestions, I was offered numerous misdirected, and flat-out wrong suggestions: Erin Brockovich (um, no, she was an activist and media personality, and now employee of a consulting firm), Big Eyes (about artist Margaret Keane whose husband steals her identity), and Casting By, about the unsung-slash marginalized talents of casting director Marion Dougherty (do we equate slighted women with entrepreneurs?).
