5 Ways Leaders Can Be More Like-able On Social Media
5 Ways Leaders Can Be More Like-able On Social Media There's two reasons people like a leader; they're real and they have integrity. It's not more complicated than that. However today most C-level executives don't allow themselves to "be real" on social media. Many hide who they really are behind a flurry of PR people who are coaching them on how to handle their social media accounts. Some C-level executives outsource their social profiles (and it's obvious). It's obvious the executive is not doing the tweeting because the content isn't raw--it has a "canned" quality. While being conservative might keep lawsuits at bay, part of being "real" is having #nofilter--it's about stake a stance on topics, having a personality, and sharing a glimpse into who that executive is. Studies show if people know who you are (and you tell stories), people will like you better. You become more relate-able.
