Can Budgets Prevent Bullets? Financial Lessons From An Alleged Killer

Can Budgets Prevent Bullets? Financial Lessons From An Alleged Killer The cold-blooded murder of wealthy New York City hedge fund manager, Thomas Gilbert Sr., was disturbing on many levels. Not only was the murder allegedly performed by his own son, the dispute seemingly stemmed from an argument over whether or not Thomas Gilbert Sr. would continue to fund an allowance for his 30-year-old son. An allowance for his adult son?! As a financial expert working with Baby Boomers and their offspring, it makes me wonder if a little bit of financial education could have prevented the bullets that ensued.
