University of Central Florida Students Build Bionic Arms for Children About a month ago, actor Robert Downey Jr. posted a video to his Facebook page giving 7 year-old Alex Pring, born without an arm, an Iron Man prosthetic arm. The video went viral within hours, and currently has over 38 million views. When Downey thanked everyone involved with the project, he mentioned an Aerospace Engineering graduate student from the University of Central Florida, Alberto Manero, and his team of students who built the arm.
