Logitude Prize to Find a New Hero in Modern Medicine "You, ladies and gentlemen, started us on our journey", shortly after his walk on the moon, Neil Armstrong gave this toast in 10 Downing Street remembering Englishman John Harrison who 300 years ago had invented the marine chronometer. Harrison had effectively kick started the technology revolution in navigation which continues today with space travel and driverless cars.
