WNBA's Seattle Storm, Swedish Medical Center Ink Largest Partnership Deal In Team History
WNBA's Seattle Storm, Swedish Medical Center Ink Largest Partnership Deal In Team History The WNBA’s Seattle Storm has announced a multi-year marquee sponsorship deal with Swedish Medical Center. Swedish, founded in 1910, is the largest non-profit health provider in the Greater Seattle area that reported a net operating income of $59.38 million in 2013. Its health system is comprised of five hospital campuses and Swedish Medical Group, a network of more than 100 primary-care and specialty clinics located throughout the Greater Puget Sound area. For the Storm, one of six independently owned WNBA franchises, meaning that it is not directly affiliated with an NBA franchise, the marquee deal with the healthcare provider is a key financial driver and anchor. The new agreement designates Swedish as the Official Medical Care Team of the Seattle Storm and includes Swedish branding on the Storm’s home and away jerseys.
