On Serena On Saturday Serena Williams won her sixth Wimbledon championship, her fourth straight major open (for the second time in her career) and is predicted to win the U.S. Open (she is the three time defending champion), which would complete a calendar year grand slam for the season. She would be the fourth woman in history to do it, and the first since Steffi Graf in 1988. Wimbledon was also her 21st championship of 25 championship appearances.
